DIY Meal Planner using the Cinch

I finally got one of these tonight. I found mine at hobby lobby on sale. I told my husband about it last night. So we made plans to go get it today to see if they still had it for sale. I am so thankful they still had it and on sale.

Thanks for this, love it! I don't have a cinch either, but there is a similar machine in the teachers' workroom at my daughter's elementary school. I used to volunteer in there a lot and used the machine to bind projects that the students made. It makes it so easy to create treasures of your child's projects.

I couldn't figure out how to put printed materials in, EVERY other video uses blank pages for the cinch tutorial, but I made a custom memorial guest book and it included guest pages, obituary, pics, etc but I just couldn't figure out how to put the pages on binding, face up or down. Thank you! Now I can go to sleep! Love your channel.

Hi MayMay I was watching other video for the cinch. Instead of having to punch both end of the planner because you center your page just make sure your page is line up against the margin then you will get the punch at the end. Then flip and use the peg on the side to line up for punch on the end.

Maymay, you are absolutely awesome. I have some of the PAPER LEATHER that I bought and some that I won and want to do some kind of art journal/planner/memory keeper, whatever. My grandson was born Aug 13 last year at 21 weeks old. Christmas was very difficult for me and I want to do this with him in mind. I have a Minc machine and hopefully will be able to use the Bible verse from his funeral somewhere in the journal. I have been practicing with the MSC handletterer/calligraphy set and I think writing that with the AG Minc pens would be nice. Even though it's been over 5 months since his death, I still can't proceed with my enormous amount of crafting without doing this book. Thanks for you help. You may not realize what all you've done to help me, but watching you tutorials for months has given me a good place to start. If I can get it like I think it should be, I will send pictures. Probably privately at first since I might not be as good a crafter as I think I am.

Hi Maymay, I keep referring back to this video..because I dont use my cinch enough.. to remember each time how to use it! :) I appreciate the video..I can never seem to cinch the wires...as effortlessly as you.. And also they never come out as professional looking. One problem I may be having is the wires I have were included in the HSN package deal I received when I received the machine,,and they dont give the size of the wires..so I am pretty much guessing when I set the dial for size. What do you think?

Hey Maymay, love the idea of making a meal planner and think that may be my next project. I have the cinch that makes the square holes. So how you punch your sheets may be different than mine because I don't have to do all of those steps. I put it up against the edge and punch, then I slide out the ruler, read on my machine which levers to pull out (so they don't punch holes) and then I do the second punch and finish the rest of my holes. So I was wondering if the cinch you have is different from mine. ~ God Bless, Sherry

Once upon a time you could buy clear glossy Contact Paper. I have a lamination machine now, so I don't know whether it's still available. It's not as easy to use as the laminating sheets Maymay used, but you get a lot of bang for your buck.
