I'm going to try this using the feed in braid method. I'll use human hair and interlock two or three times into the lock. I'm going for permanent fairy locs. Thank you for the inspiration ❤🎉

This is gorg. My daughter asked for this and I was unsure how it would look so I only have her a few. It was cute but people thought she had "strings" caught up in her loc lol. I am more willing to give a full head now that I see yours and have a better understanding of what she's asking for. I'll make sure to use human hair this time. Welp, off to the hair store I go. Hopefully, when you're ready to take them out it's not too much hassle.

Good morning I love your hair so so much, especially the uniformity of your locs. I installed mine with twists 16months ago. Many factors led to me not having uniform locs, including me going back in to split most at the front. So the smallest sizes are at the front( my size preference) As time goes on, I have seen that the locs at the middle of my head and the back are double in size of the ones at the front and it makes the back of my head look flat. It looks worse when I have alot of new growth. So I'm thinking of taking the big ones(everything from the middle to the back) out and reinstalling with a size to match the front. But I'm scared of the outcome. I'm sure it will look even flatter in the beginning and I don't know how to deal with that( the only thing I can think of is curling my locs frequently until they even out substantially) please what do you think?I have struggled to get used to the size disparity but I just can't and I don't want to continue disliking my locs for this reason

How do you keep your microlocs uniform in size? I’m 1 year in and mine look frizzy and some of them are thinner on the roots, but bunching in the bottom 🥲
@NapsAreTheNewBlack Жыл бұрын
that is normal for one year in! they get more uniform over time 😊
@movietimemom Жыл бұрын
Thank you! I'm going to try these once I'm finished with my retie! But how difficult do you think the take down process will be? I see where you're knotting the hair at the root and so im wondering if after a few weeks there's a chance the roots will tangle with the added in hair
@NapsAreTheNewBlack Жыл бұрын
the takedown was very easy! I left them in for a few weeks and didnt have any issue separating it from my own hair

From the distance it looks cute but in reality the two different textures looks very strange and not neat especially at the root and where the random straight peices are sticking straight out
@NapsAreTheNewBlack Жыл бұрын
the random straight pieces started to lay down as the style aged! I wasn't necessarily going for "neat". I wanted a messy curly look and I liked the end results 😊
@Lulu-mj2fi Жыл бұрын
@@NapsAreTheNewBlack I do like some messy lock looks but there are differences like the difference between a messy bun and and ratty bun. The textures look bad together and sloppy, like have a silky weave then having a heavily natural textured layout that wasn't silk pressed to blend, or a natural looking weave then silk pressing your leave out, it just doesn't work. It's okay girl, you're still learning, I've seen this style done beautifully, it just needs some tweaking so it doesn't look silly❤ Maybe the shiny synthetic peices don't compliment your hair or the color makes it more obvious idk, I'm sure you will find some peices that would be more complimentary. The straight pieces shouldn't be there even if it does relax after days, what do you do in the meantime to keep it from looking sloppy? I mean let's be real, it this was a box braid tutorial and I didn't braid close to the roots and left my dark, textured hair super frizzy poking out through the synthetic, colored braids, nobody would take the tutorial seriously
