Good . You can combinate a transister with voltage regulatod I.C. to raise the current capacity of it. I think it will be better than heat sync for long time use and its durablety.

I have waited to answer to this suggestion as I was making some test and experiment. At the end I decided that the best was simply to revise the design where in fact I made a mistake. Now the voltage regulator has been replaced and the entire power supply session is decoupled from the main board for a more modular design. Thanks anyway for the suggestion! Cheers!

Cool project. The sliders move very quickly, probably faster than needed? Seems like you have a lot of room. Did you consider a small switching regulator? You could just stick it to the board and hand wire it.

For now I will complete the unit and then I will decide if it makes sense to try to commercialize it. Finally I will start working on a new interface I have in mind since a while based on all I have learned from this project
