Ive been looking for a pattern similar to a skirt I'm trying to make and this was perfect! It was super easy to follow, and only took me about an hour from drafting to cutting fabric. Im planning on changing a new things from here but I couldn't have gotten this far without this video. I cant believe you're self taught, you're so good! Thanks for your help :)

The finished product was very nice looking and thank you for your video. However, I have a real problem with all those tedious measurements you do at the start of your videos. Half the time I have no idea what you are doing - just can't follow along. I feel it is not meant to be something that you would use as a demonstrative when you are showing regular folks just trying to make a skirt. It's too - overly detailed and not really needed for this type of video. Maybe in drafting school it would be needed? So, I just have to fast-forward until I can actually see what you are doing. Also, when you are pinning, do we have to really see you pinning a whole side or more? Maybe just wave your finger over the area and next thing we see is it has been sewn already. Very , very tedious and overly _______ retentive.

How do you expect to be able to make a short and skirt that actually fits without using your measurements to draft the pattern, or using a commercially made pattern? Just follow the words written on the screen and pause the video if you need more time to understand the instructions

I actually really prefer her way of doing it. That way people who feel like you can skip forward or speed up the video while those who want more information and maybe even learn what goes into the pattern drafting get to learn that as well. I personally don't like those super edited videos where they point to a seam and then it's sewn. I much prefer seeing the pinning and sewing. I especially look out for the techniques and sewing feet used.
