Yumi, get a felting thimble. It's like a silicone cup to put over your fingers. I got a three pack when I started felting, and they have different sizes, so you can find one that will fit your fingers perfectly. I've stabbed my fingers a ton of times, and I've yet to feel it. This was a cute project. :-)
