If doing this kit, mod podge the floor to make it look even more like wood. Mod podge is your best friend.

When I do these kits it takes me weeks because my ocd fear of things falling apart causes me to seal every paper surface with hardeners and use too much of the strongest glue then after when everything is dry I make a mistake and have to break something apart that causes me to redo nearly everything as well as inventing replacement parts and it basically turns into a kit bash.

I use Elmer's very sparingly. Craft glue is too stringy. Sometimes I use a toothpick to apply.

It's a great starter kit and is $19 on Amazon and is super small enough to fit in a cabinet or shelf. It took me a week working on it here and there and sealing with modge podge to add texture
