This looks great, but I hope everyone knows that electrical tape aka friction tape, is a very temporary substance. The adhesive decays to goo in a matter of weeks. Source: husband has been using the stuff since the 1950s. You never buy much ahead and you buy replacements a lot. Surely there are black vinyl tapes of higher quality to use. After doing this much finicky work, I don't want to throw it out in a few months.

Yes, that's a great idea to use black vinyl tape instead (I just didn't have it☺) just make sure it's not translucent
