Another quality project! I like how the cord is purposely (and skillfully) placed as part of the overall form and not an eyesore you have to pretend isn't there. It's the little things👍🏾

Just finished this lamp last week. We like it so much we’re making a second so we can have one on both sides of the room and are going to try scaling down for bedside table lamps for our bedroom. Stained it espresso color. Love the look of the lamp. Had an issue with the extension nipple that is listed, Amazon must’ve changed it’s measurements, but the bf was able to figure it out. Great job and thank you! We just got into wood working. This was a great project.

Very nice and simple project :) The only advice I would give is to use electrical tape onto end of braided cable before stripping, this to prevent fraying and for added electrical safety as well.

The end product you display in this video does not seem to be the one you built. Your silent video seems to show 90 degree angles on all the joints but your end product clerly shows a taper toward the top. What' up with that?

Very nice you all! I thought after watching assembly, if I made one of these, or something like it, I'd try and hide the wire inside some wooden round stock, but have no idea how I would drill out the center of it, unless I did it in sections and then glued them together. Hmm

I was excited to make this lamp! I went out and picked up the materials, and ordered the electrical bits online. Then I proceeded to check out your "free" plans...which were $8.... So, I just figured out how to do it myself. Turned out very nice! Thanks for the great videos, guys! Keep it up! But perhaps make the "free" plans actually free... just a thought.
@Woodbrew6 жыл бұрын
They are actually $0.01. Our website wouldn't allow us to have it for $0.00. 🙁 The end of the video tells you where to go to get the code for the plans.

Hey guys, I bought your plans and it states that the half lap cuts are to be 3.5” long. How does that make sense if the boards you said to purchase are 1x3 (i.e. 2.5 inches, as you clearly mark on the plans)? Shouldn’t each half lap be 2.5” wide?

@carrzo63182 ай бұрын
Nope. Horrible plans don't bother, just paid $14 for them because I'm an idiot. Example: "Cut perpendicular 2° angles on the ends of your pieces." A "perpendicular 2 degree" angle is not possible - a perpendicular angle is always a 90 degree angle, so I'll just figure it out on my own.
