Nice! Love seeing young people taking on projects like this instead of wasting life playing video games. You have skills that will help you throughout your life...great job! Would be interested in seeing how you built the "dolly" and what rollers (?) you used.

Glad you like the video. Although I would like to tell you, I do play video games as well that I actually gave me the creativity to spark this kind of thing. A couple that with the hand-eye coordination and finger dexterity of using a controller it makes me a decent welder. 😁 As far as how the dolly is built, it is barn door rails and barn door sliders ,one one each corner of the dolly.

Cool am doing the same'ish thing, but going in the back and have a lift gate. 2 bikes going back, my track idea is a little different. But ya use what ya got to work with.

I realise this is an old video but you have made a good job and I wondered if you guys had ironed out the kinks yet? Also you mentioned in the video that there was only one video by another guy showing how to make this type of thing, would you happen to have a link to that video. Thanks.

I was just wondering why I hadn't seen anything from you guys for a while. Welcome to post-rona life, glad you made it through. Brilliant bike loader BTW. I've often wondered about the feasibility of transporting motorcycles vertically on the back of my bluebird.

Aw thanks, Tim! We're glad we made it too 😂 We'll do a more in depth video about the lift later probably, as there are some changes we didn't know we needed until we put the bike on it. Specifically the distance between the rollers on the bottom rail. Its hard to see it on video becuase its sped up and trimned, but we had a little bit of trouble getting the thing in correctly while loading 😅

Dont hang from forks it cause several serious damage! Always hang from frame

I'm not sure what you mean it's always on the ground. Never hanging in the air.

Nice job I want to make one my self What are the measurements

Thanks, it's still a work in progress. We're still working out the kinks. Sorry for the late reply. The full rail system is 94 inches long and 11 inches wide, but that's not a point of great focus. Your dimensions would depend on how long your bike is. Allow room for a wench in the front end of the rails. We had to lift the front because a wench wouldn't fit in there with the bike. We used heavy duty bearings on either side of the bottom rail to help slide the upper rail, and our major problem is that the bottom rails aren't perfectly parallel and at the end of it it's wide enough for the top rail to fall off the bearings on one side if it's not perfectly lined up. The wheel chock we got on Amazon. Best of luck! Let us know if you have any more questions :)

Is it possible to get the plans.
@Making_Adventure2 жыл бұрын
It's not quite finished; there's some flaws and tweaks we're still working on. We will let you know when we've finalized and made the plans for it :)
