How are you liking the? Have you tightened up the wires and managed them better? Do you have another bracket at the head of the trolling motor for the ducer wire going up?

Works great, I had to open up the clamp on my belt sander so it would fit around the trolling motor better, other than that this is a great economical hack.

Are you still using this setup? How is the extra weight?

This is an awesome option for those who don't want control over the transducer separate from the trolling motor. Thank you for sharing! @Triple B Outdoors - Do you have the part # of the bracket you bought from tractor supply?

I don’t but it was actually for a light bar

I tried this on my Ulterra and it all fit great but when I tried in on the water the drag it generated kept pulling my trolling motor hard to the side the mount was on. This is a brand new motor so I don't think the steering motor is weak. Concerns me that it will burn it up so I removed it till I can figure out how to correct that. If I could mount it turned toward the front of the motor instead of the side it would be great I think but turned that direction the bolts hit the plastic housing that holds the trim belt in place. Still trying to figure out a way to make it work though. Thanks for sharing what you did, I always appreciate others ideas and input.

I rotated mine around so the pvc is almost at the prop which streamlines it much more. I should do an updated video. But I use it regularly and it works well

Oh I didn’t even realize he had mounted to the side. Mine is straight on in line with the barrel in the center ish. Yea I’d do that. I already bought an expensive mount from all aboard marine. It’s nice but it looks like an erector set on my trolling motor when stowed blocking my view. (The one with gears and a chain)

How did you support the LS transducer cable for deployment? I did’t see you address the cable. Do you have a video showing deployment and stow? Thanks for sharing, David

I used electrical tape around the stand .y head unit is on for the transducer wire

Is it a problem with spot lock having the view change as the trolling motor turns to maintain position? I would think that would be a constant changing of where you want the scope pointed. Good video and nice idea. I appreciate your response.

Yes it is so I don’t use it often

Thank you.. u saved me alot. I just sub. Got a question which way is better to install it because I see people's put in in front with the trolling motor and yours is different. Please help. Thank you.

Hey, I just received the bracket today. I’m tempted to cut a 1/4in slit down the pvc tube to run the cable back thru. I also bought the perspective mount “L” piece from eBay. It came with a cable protector which fits over the cable at the base of the trans. The L piece attaches to the existing Garmin shaft mount. I’m also considering shaving the bracket itself so it fits more flush. How long is your pvc? I know they something about 7 inch rule. Does that rule even apply to our setup. I can’t see how the propellor could be in a position to hit the trans considering it spins with the tm.

I haven’t had any issues with mine seeing the trolling motor at all. But I just got mine up so that when it’s stowed it doesn’t hit anything

My mount wiggles moves. That plastic piece you mount to doesnt stay. It has about 3/4 in of play

Mine does as well but when it’s in the water with the resistance of the water it doesn’t seem to be a problem. At one point I also put a shim inside there to reduce movement

What a jerk comment. How much did his info cost you? Kids gotta be kids. Not like he’s doing some kinda filming studio setup. Freaking rigging up a good fishing setup. This comment sounds like a “client” comment
