Hey babies! Good to see y'all looking so happy and healthy! Beautiful terrarium ideas. I'm about as "crafty" as a sack of goose poop. I did get something huge out of the tutorial, though. I need to order more sage. My space needs some cleansing, y'all. It's a mess in more ways than one. 🤷🏻♀️ Calving and farrowing about to start and the hurrieder I go, the behinder I get! This ol' gal needs some peace. 😂😂 So, all that said, I appreciate the reminder. See how good y'all are for your viewers?

Good evening! Thank you for always making us smile. Hope you still get some time to relax between all the work! And yes, sage is a must. Todd has it going often. And I bet you'd be surprised at how easy it would be to make an awesome terrarium! You should give it a try. Worst case scenario, it'd turn into a cool compost bin. Haha.

We are. Jose ( ex flight attendant from TAP) and Antonio ( ex restaurant manager at Royal Swallow Hotel ,Bristol UK) living together for 25 years , married for 13 , now back home to central Portugal for 16 years in a 20 hec mountain cherry farm with 3 granite stone houses dating back to 1687, a river, a lake, 3 natural drinking watter springs , woods, some flat lands and loads of wild mushrooms ( 564 identified so far that I became the area expert on them) So we know very well what is renovating an old house doing everything from stone building, plumbing, eletric stuff, carpenting, roofing , landscaping etc. So far we only manage to renovate the main house , ( 250 sq m x 2 floors ) finishing now the second after a criminal wild fire last year that burnt out 80% of the property except the main house . Go on guys you are doing a fantastic renovation. 🇺🇸🇵🇹👏👏❤

Wow this was a real treat! I never planted a terrarium before and never knew how to do it. It is so simple and you can get so creative. These were beautiful and I love the set up with the little palm tree and the moss. The little carnival wheel was a nice touch. So the whiskey drinks looked super neat!! Cider and whiskey - great for that very cool morning. I have never seen beautiful large perfectly square blocks of ice like that. Perfect size for your whiskey glasses. Chic!!! So your bird feeder is in a great spot and since it is hanging, the squirrels may not want to bother with it. But the birds are loving it, I can see. Dont worry about bears - they have bigger foods to chase. 😂😂😂 I love your kitchen window and the plants you have there. The little secret stream is marvelous. You guys will have great times with that. And Wally loves it. I LOVE the COW!!!!!!! I laughed out loud every time you set the scream off. And I LOVED when you said, "oh girl"!! 😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 You guys are great. So I see you will be seeing lovely Rhododendron soon. Very soon. I see the leaves of the bushes there out in the forest, and they bloom these beautiful big snow ball shaped cluster of little flowers in different colors. They are BEAUTIFUL. Keep a watch for them. They LOVE the mountains in areas like yours and northern areas. I love Rhododendrons. They come out around early March or mid March or so. Take a video with them in them when you see them please. Blessings.
@toddandrob Жыл бұрын
Great comments as always! And yes the Rhododendron are everywhere! Starting to see tiny buds all over the plants now, so it's only a matter of time before there is a burst of color all over the woods. We can't wait, and of course, we'll definitely document the season changing. Cheers!

You might be onto something with being in a terrarium down there. Ha. Hope you get a chance to create one. It's actually quite simple once you get the materials. We've been resisting just turning every random glass jar into a terrarium lately.

Don't worry, that is a rational thought! But, rest assured, the house is cleverly built on a slab. Only the porch (and roof over porch) are on the stilts.

Thanks, and you'd be surprised at how easy it is. Could start with a small glass jar, or even a mason jar and some small plants from outside.
@BDThomas Жыл бұрын
To be honest - and I'm saying this as a creative/crafty person - most of the skill in crafting is simply acquired through trial and error. The more you craft the more crafty you'll become. The more you try, the more mistakes you make, the more things you learn. The more you learn, the more refined your future efforts become. It doesn't matter where you start, the love of crafty things and the skill in creating just grows from there.
@toddandrob Жыл бұрын
@@BDThomas Couldn't have said it better! We definitely have been through so many of those trial and error moments on pretty much every project we've worked on over the years. Definitely takes a lot of patience.

Hey guys I just wanted to warn you about the bird feeder you just hung up on your deck. Bears will come up to your deck and eat the bird seed. I had a bear go into my backyard and destroy my bird feeder to eat the bird seed. I live in the suburbs in Florida. We have a reservation close to our neighborhood. That's where the bears come from here. Just be careful going outside at night before looking around first.
@toddandrob5 ай бұрын
Definitely on alert here always. We actually bring in the bird feeders each night. But that has been because the racoons have a tendency to go after them if not. We've seen our neighborhood bear on our wildlife cam once last year but have only heard rumors of it elsewhere around here. Ever vigilant! Thanks for tuning in!
