I love the way you “sewed” the back seam of the hat! Very ingenious idea! Can’t wait to try it for my grandkids.

Would like to have seem the back of the hat! I’m just guessing the knotted ties are on the outside down the back, but still would like to have seen it displayed on your model so we could see how it looks. Other than that it looks simple to make.

Cute hat ! I'm a little confused why does it say you need 1/2 yard of fleece... is it the circumference of your head plus 6 inches by 16 inches ? Plus a little confused on the side you tie double knots on is it the inside of the hat or the back outside of it? Thanks would love to make these correctly.
@bethhuntington91394 жыл бұрын
You could get away with a 1/4 yard. The knots are tied on the back of the hat which is the longer side.

@@kathylewis7543 You, too. And yes, it is the circumference of your head plus 6 inches by 16 inches for an adult hat. For a child's hat it's the circumference of their head plus 6 inches by 14 inches.

When you measure your head, which I did and it's 20.5 plus the 6 inches { by 16 inches}, are you then folding that piece in half making it 13x16? I did the measurements and my hat came out HUGE! But I didn't fold it in half... it looks like that step is already done in the video.. I've made no sew fleece blankets before...

I don’t understand where the side with all the knots goes. Inside? (Ouch, very uncomfortable) Outside? (Looks weird).
@dawnkindnesscountsmost59913 жыл бұрын
The line of double knots makes this a no-sew project, and they're on the outside, typically worn in the back. The side with the double knots could be sewn instead, if one prefers, either by hand or machine, along the tape edge; sewing the seam would replace making all of the double knots.

Thank you for asking because I was wondering about that myself since it's not shown in the video.
