Okay, I made it to the end of the video, and I would still be interested in watching an account of your doomed journey! I'm sure you can still find a way of making it funny and educational, and it'd mean all the footage doesn't have to go to waste.

Roger that, I'll see if I can look at it with new eyes and put something out soon. Thanks for weighing in on it!

Maybe I missed this, but the sides of MDF need to be weatherproofed for outside use. One rainshower and the whole sign will bubble up. Beyond that, thanks for teaching us all these nifty tricks! :)

Totally, it just sucks everything up like a sponge then falls apart. The mdf was just to make the miter box and the frame was made from TC whitewood board (1"x2"x6' ) finished with 4 coats of tung oil so it should be fine for a while. The recent tropical storm gave it a pretty good beating and it tanked it ok. Good shout though

@@makermeditations Ohhh my bad! I'm sorry, I thought the blackboard was also made out of MDF.

Ah, so true, it is. I might try to hit that with some UV resin or something but you make a good point. I'll make note of this moving forward and see if there's some way I can call it out post mortem. Thanks for the heads up!

You should absolutely post the project you were working on! Even if it didn’t end up how you wanted, I would still love to watch you work on it!

I haven't even started the video yet, but as soon as I saw it on my subscription page I was internally jumping for joy =n_n=

Ah, this made my day! When I post I lose some subs straight away for whatever reason so it's great to hear someone out there feels differently. 😅

I'd be interested in watching a video of a failed project! You kinda sounded like you want advice on it, and maybe like you're trying to salvage the time and effort you've already put in. If you get advice that helps you finish it, great! If not, great! I do the same thing, stuggle and double down on things when I shouldn't, so seeing an example might help me identify my own problems. But if not, I still like your style of storytelling and would watch the heck out of a video.

It's moments like the ones you had that make me want to abolish angles 🫠 Great job pulling through! Your chalk drawings are also very nice.

Good to see you again. Do you think you will do another dinosaur skull? Edit; I have to soak my weed trimmer string in water to soften it up, so it will stay flexible.
@makermeditations3 ай бұрын
Thanks, likewise! I won't count it out but the schedule for videos is pretty packed atm. Your comment asking about one is not alone though so I definitely hear you. It's funny you mention weed trimmers. I just spent hours fixing my broken trimmer, repairing the charger, then additional hours trimming that had built up. Bit of a synchronicity and interesting to hear that yours has the opposite problem to the PLA. If mine gets brittle I'll know what to do now.
