You might try one of those large inflated sit-on bouncing balls as a support to fall onto, that will help you to keep your back straighter - or a very much higher stack of cushions. A couple of hand held poles for support will also help with that - pvc tubing will do the job.

Awesome! I liked the idea because at the time I thought I would like using a band to make it easier. Then I learned I could change my hip angle to make it easier, but it might still be easier to get in and out compared to strapping down

This is an awesome idea. How has your progress been using this? Have you made any other modifications? Maybe an update/progress video on this?

I haven't had to make any other modifications. I would say progress has been slow, but from what I've heard, it can take a year or more to build up to it. I'm at a lot more of an angle than before but not flat yet.

Expandable pull-up bar put low in a doorway with a barbell pad and your knees on a rebok step. All things I already owned IE zero cost and zero footprint.
