Your channel is such a find. I was researching 4G failover for home, and here we are. Right up my street. Awesome space.

Thanks, I hope it is of use, the most recent video on the internet on the Hotel might be the most useful as my attempts before were working through the issues before I arrived at the solution

When I did this with my uncle in an old house in stamford, we used a piece of gaffer tape to smooth the round corners...it worked great

Used angle grinder to cut wriggly tin - works fine with correct cutting disc.

Thanks, I dont think I had the correct one as it was eating a disk per pass (lengthways)

Good to see a industrious mind using what you have to hand, i either would have used the corrugated like yourself or for a wall depending how i felt a the time. Some people will pay 10x more to try and achive what you are creating. 👍

Thanks, I am lucky to have the bits hanging around but it feels so much more satisfying when you can reuse something for free and it looks great

Just a tip, if you over press or ‘polish’ the plaster too much you’ll find that when you come to paint the paint won’t adhere properly 😊
@beyondtheworkbench5 ай бұрын
Aha, I have always had bigger problems than that when I plaster but now I am getting a bit better (it is atleast flat now) I will start to worry about the more advanced issues like you mentioned

@@beyondtheworkbenchdon't be sorry, not your fault. But when utube put so many in, it spoils it, I had one advert about 30 seconds in, then another a couple minutes later. Then the usual load that they put in. Still love the videos.

Multi material blade on a circular saw for cutting tin roof sheets…. Screwfix sell an evolution blade, just wear safety goggles and a hat

Ah thats a great idea. I have a multi material blade for my chop saw but diddnt consider putting it on the circular saw! thanks
@livingoffgridinscotland5 ай бұрын
@@beyondtheworkbench I think it’s a slightly smaller one for the normal circular saws I bought a cheap nasty “guild” 240v saw out of argos specifically for cutting tin sheets, i just leave the blade in it It’s also good for cutting rafers etc which might have old nails in them

Rounded edge on room separator will imho be more satisfying to feel & look at, more rustic. Stop trying to be a perfectionist & get on bud.
