I love how you come up with cute craft ideas. My mother-in-law love sewing. I would loved to have made her several of these for her Christmas tree, but she passed away almost six years ago. I had the best in-laws. I may make some in her honor for her and put on my Christmas tree.

This is so wonderful that you did this video today making spools. My 91 year old Mom came to visit, I haven't seen her since December. Neither one of us drive and my brother took a few days off to bring her, they live 3 hours away. My point is Mom brought a bag of gorgeous trim and lace. One of the ribbons was very old the round part is vintage looking and said Gibson 42 feet for.50¢ . I know, when was this IDK? So now I'm set to make these faux spools. Mom also brought old wooden spools and they are a treasure to have. She's still doing crafts but not as much so she brought things she wasn't using. As the only one of her 4 daughters that took after her in the creative field, she was happy to give me things she knows I will use and treasure. Sadly my sister's can't even sew a button on. We come from the same household where Mother was busy doing all things a stay at home Mom did back in the 50's. As well as sew and do every type of craft and needlework imaginable. Anyway getting to the point if you get this far, Lisa I love how u created these and I love both shabby chic and the more country rustic. Thank you for sharing.

No I didn’t use the circles, I used the ends of old ribbon containers. It wasn’t the same size, like a couple inches larger.
