Im a woman who owns no tools & have the urge to jump into a project like this. So very cool to see another woman do this & use what other ppl say "the wrong tools" give me the push to try it.

PaintyCloud I agree it's better for these videos to use basic hand tools. Not everyone can afford circular saws, variable drills, impacts drills, sawsalls, etc for a small home project. Sometimes people get intimidated when they these youtube how to videos when people have a right tool for the job vs a tool that will do the job.

michaella c how were the holes made for the carriage bolts? Surely a drill was used for them?

I love the use of non-electric tools. I wanted to try my hand at making just a table or two and not invest in the power tools. This video definitely shows me how.

Very nicely done, with very simple lines.👍Going to be making this style myself (without the gaps) and some brass inlays from a home sculpted bas relief. The inlays will go perfectly with the dark stain.

@PaintyCloud
@PaintyCloud 8 жыл бұрын
you can check this process in our newest video, 5:44 >> kzbin.info/www/bejne/mZyqaZ9mq7yFm5o After you drill the first holes, joint the parts, and with the help of nail mark the next holes. This process is really missing in this video, cause the recording was unfortunately bad quality :)

Painty Cloud wish i was a wealthy sponsor lol its taken me years to build a decent set of tools up.. but i have noticed there's a lot of good deals on certain pound shop tools hammers and ruff saws there seem ok screws are so so. but screwdrivers are not worth the pound paid. as im sure you probably have found out any way i love your videos keep up the hard work its 60% imagination and that's what i lack

If it works, it isn't wrong but you would benefit from a cross cut hand saw. A hack saw for metal takes forever. Thank you for your video. The project came out well. I use my drill as an egg beater, so sometimes it's okay to think outside the box.

brilliant and its all the fashion now .ere if only they never chopped all bloody trees down but that will be for the rich only furniture .we are importing furniture like this called Mexican antique pine its in your local high street b and m furniture and very reasonable price this is what you call recycling and it looks very stylish .this kind of furniture is all over the internet .in fact I have a TV video cabinet and coffee table in rustic pine and it as all your slight scuffs and is not exactly perfect regarding the sizes of wood design and you polish it with wax but it works as it goes with the style and whoever makes them keeps them in work .
@PaintyCloud
@PaintyCloud 8 жыл бұрын
+terence barrett thank you :) I'm not sure, that understand you correctly, but we're also keen on pallet furnitures. eg.: Now we work on a pallet entry bench, but we also created a pallet bathroom storage. Besides we love restore old wood furniture too :)

+PaintyCloud yes it must be very therapeutic and rewarding hopefully you might make millions,the fashion is clever I purchased, TV corner unit, and coffee table it's rustic pine and it was hard getting used to it, as previous coffee table was polished, ewe wood oblong two top glass panels with a shelf underneath .but I had it over twenty years ,you get attached to furniture ,but as I was a carer,for my 91 year old mother 20 years who lived nearby I had never changed my house ,or really had the time it was 24+7 caring,plus 20 years previous I was divorced and I think you hold on to memories, ha ha even bad ones. and as I changed Sofa's carpets etc ,and really with having very little my time ,it really was not my usual colour scheme but I am getting used to it and it looks nice and comfortable to me, there as been plenty of compliments ,,and once you have had your wear out of these cheap pieces of furniture you can donate to a charity shop, and you have done your bit for conservation, and wherever they were made its kept them in work .this furniture is sold in b+m stores in england under brand name Rio but it's sold all over the Internet rustic pine, cheap but quite nice and hard wearing esp if you have kids

Bravo to have made but the result could have been better. For example, stick the boards to each other and add one more board and avoid holes between them. A question of comfort. Put a cup of cofee, a glass, write on it, etc. For the screws of the wheels, you could have drilled holes slightly smaller than the screws and it would have facilitated the screwing. It's less complicated. That said, I congratulate you. Not everyone is able to do it. ;)
