DIY Paper and Resin Abyss Coffee Table Dollhouse Miniature

As promised, a new video today! This is the copycat miniature version of Duffy London's (duffylondon.com/) wildly popular Abyss Coffee Table. I took quite a few artistic licenses here, but I held true to the overall design of the table. I hope you guys enjoy!

I've never bothered to add resin to my craft supplies . . . I've always found something else I could use for a project. But THIS . . . This is the most amazing, beautiful miniature coffee table I've ever seen, and it's exactly what I didn't realize I needed for my dollhouse. I wanted a beautiful, unique coffee table, and this is perfect. I guess I'm going to be going to the craft store, if i ever get a day off again . . .

I love those coffee tables, and this little jewel is every bit as exquisite as its full size counterparts. I also think the pearlescent paint adds additional depth to the design that would otherwise be missing with a flat blue paint. Or could be I'm a little biased since 90% (or more) of my paints are metallic, iridescent, opalescent, etc. 😄

I definitely like your version better than the original. I guess it’s the scale, but it looks less choppy, especially from the side. I’m another who has mostly metallic or pearlized paints. When I can’t find one in the shade I want I’ll add some metallic silver or white to make another paint metallic.

I enjoyed it VERY MUCH bit Kat if you can make a miniture you can make your own, even using popsicle sticks (though that would be a labour of REAL love lol) and layers of plastic or liquid plastic, sorry my memory's not its best, but if you use the liquid resin (thank you Kat) because a life-sized table would be so much bigger and open to design, you could put real seaweed, and a couple of either bought or handmade fish. I would say real ones like sprats & sardines, but I could never live with it personally. 🐟 xXx ❤ xXx

I love your videos and, as such, I would like to make a suggestion. I would find it much more useful if you did the things you are describing (cut the papers and so forth) on camera rather than doing it off camera and then just putting the things down and moving them around a lot. I find all that moving and gesturing distracting and not very helpful to learning how to do what you are doing. I hope this comes off as supportive, because, again, I love the stuff you do.
