I set one of these up (before I saw the video). After about five minutes I decided it is of relatively minimal value. The ball does not replicate a shot you might actually receive in a pickleball game, so I’m not sure how helpful it is. I won’t say there is no value, but it is minimal.

Thanks for your comment. I do agree this is not the ideal setup to greatly improve your game, but at the very least it helps with hand/eye coordination and to get a feel for the impact of the ball. But there are for sure much better options out there if you have the capital to purchase…or you can just go to the court with a friend and practice.

Appreciate your effort in making this video, but that will not help anything in anyone's pickleball game. People would be better to find a wall and hit the ball against that...or how about we go practice our serving...that is something we can do alone (just not in the house).

Yea, I don’t disagree. More of a fun project and some KZbin content. The DIY Pickleball returner I created is much better.
