In this tutorial I teach how to make a bowl for plants, in the shape of a basin, with cement mass and Styrofoam. I use a technique that mimics granilite concrete. The plant pot is very light, but resistant.
Materials for cement and Styrofoam putty:
2 kg of cement
6 kg of mortar or glue cement (cement mixture used to glue ceramic floors)
4 liters of crushed styrofoam
3.5 liters of water
16 ml of Plasticizer Additive
Materials for waterproofing the vase
1/2 glass of water
2 tablespoons of white PVA glue (carpenter's glue)
Enough cement
- Pass solvent3 Thinner to melt the Styrofoam on the side surface of the vessel.
- Use black grouting paste to cover the holes (Grouting paste is used to cover the spaces between the ceramic floors)
- Apply water-based acrylic resin to waterproof the cement vessel
