DIY POLYCARBONATE DOOR & WINDOWS (Tagalog)

Hey Guys! Here's another DIY Project Build.

In today's build I'm going to show you how I build a Door & window using POLYCARBONATE Sheet as a replacement for Glass.
This is a continuation of my Studio Workshop Build Project so please tune in for more Build LOGs to come.

Paps baka pwede gawa ka ng sample na polycarbonate na window na louvered at jalousie. Gusto ko lang ng idea kung paano gawin at kung maganda bang tingnan

@ronelonepangan7329 Yes Sir, pero mas maganda yung solit na clear polycarbonate dahil paeang glass lang din. Pero madali lang syang magasgasan. Ang maganda sa kanya. Di madaling mabasag.

sure pwede po mi advantage mi disadvantage din po. maganda sya dahil impact resistant hindi madaling mabasag. disadvantage nya is madaling magasgas. also mad dedepende rin sa preference nyo kung gusto nyo yong mura same sa ginamit ko na double wall 1300php isa. pero mas maganda yong solid pero mahal nasa almost 5k 4'x8' na size. kung sa init naman, same lang sya sa glass mainit dahil transparent.

Pwede ma'am, pero kailangan mo ng u-clip as end cap. as for end cap pwede ring PC or aluminum and dapat naka seal ang both end para di pasukin ng moisture that can cuase mold.

2 sheets lang po yan maam. 1 for my main door then 1 for all the remaining floor to ceiling windows

Good Day din Sir, Ok din naman yong acrylic sir pero medyo Mahal nga lang compara sa double wall na polycarbonate 1.3k lang. Kasi ang acrylic is nasa 3k-5k ang price per panel. Then mas solid po ang polycarbonate cobpare sa acrylic when it comes to breaking. Pero mas matagal naman mabasag ang acrylic sheet compare sa totoong glass. So ok pa din yong acrylic.

What do you use to cut polycarbonate?

I just used my angle grinder with metal cutting blade on it. For cleaner cuts.

ok naman po sya maam pero sa ngayon is under repair ako. dahil nasunug ung studio ko dahil sa powerbank na naka charge. ang nangyari lang sa doors and windows ay natunaw ang hindi sya nag set on fire.

Ahm.. kung roofing pwede pero kung ceiling pwede rin pero subra nahal compare sa ficem board.or gypsum board.

Yes Sir, there are. the solid one is more glass like than the one that I Used. Though its way more expensive around 5k php. or 100$ compare to this that only cost 1.3k php per panel. that's why I go with this one.

Salamat sa pag daan Sir, yes sir yong size nya is 4ftx8ft kapareha lang ng plywood.. pero kung gusto mo ng mas mahaba mi 10ft and 20ft din.

Of course you can do it with wood frames, just sandwich the polycarbonate between wood then use screw, paint the frame like a Japanese door

Maraming salamat po sa suppurt maam.. compare po sa acrylic mas matibay po ang polycarbonate hindi madaling mabasag pero madali lang sya magasgasan. Acrylic naman po ay makinis parang glass pero madaling mabasag same as glass.. so for security po mas mabuli ang polycarbonate. Kung gusto nyo ng masmaganda is yung solid po ma polycarbonate. I think medyo mas mahal kesa sa acrylic pero mas magtatagal..

For the soundproofing mam it can minimize the sound but not sount proof if you want you can do a double walling with this material and make sure no air can get inside any gap that you may have because sounds travel through Air and through vibration.

dito sa amin Sir sa CITI Hardware lang. pero mahal ang acrylic panel sir depende sa kapal. 1300php. ang polycarbonate 5000php ang acrylic plywood size yan. kaya double wall ang gamit ko na polycarbonate dahil mura.

Ang polycarbonate po ay isang materiales na ginagamit bilang pang bobong at itot maraming klase at gamit depende nalang sa ating imahinasyon.
