Girl! I have been watching 100's of these videos everytime I do my nails to learn the routine. I don't know if it's because you are a makeup artist and pay attention to details or are an educator or what (I'm a mua too!) But you have given waaay more tips, tricks, and information about the crazy mishaps, details of polygel, the cuticle issues, etc more than ANYONE else's videos! I have watched pros, nail companies, and so many and yours have been incredibly helpful! I've already learned so many tips and tricks to sidestep the issues I've been having just watching a few of your videos already. I am blown away that someone has finally mentioned some of the common issues and problems 'during' the tutorial and all the solutions, & also 'why' it happens. So many tutorials skip that info, or maybe answer in the comments or just leave their comments unanswered. You covered all the bases! Thank you so much! As you know, in makeup we work with our hands so I am always working on making my nails look great every week. You have been so incredibly helpful! Please keep passing on the little tips you add and keep up the awesome work!

Yay! Just watched your first polygel video, so informative. I'm getting my first polygel kit today! I'm ready to order some Halloween colors and nail art. I almost bought an acrylic kit, then came across the polygel kits on Amazon, so glad I did. Love your videos and your personality. Can't wait to see more. It's been awhile since I've had my nails done at a salon, mostly because of eliminating expenses and time. But, I still like having my nails look nice. I was worried about the smell and powders with acrylic so this seems like a wonderful alternative. As you, I also find doing my nails and any form of art to be therapeutic. Now I'm tracking my package and prepping my nails. I appreciate that you included steps that are important with prepping the nail and cure time. Thank you and have a great day.

I know this is three years old, I have no idea if you are still making videos or if you'll even end up seeing this but I have to say, after also being a self taught "nail artist" learning on a friend who bought a gel polish kit on Amazon about 3 years ago. I just recently decided to finallllyyyyy try poly gel and at first I wanted to scream. I tried a nail over 4 times, it wouldnt harden and was just sooo ridiculously sticky. I took a mental break from it and a week or so later I tried again (I watched many tutorials too including yours) but it just worked that time for some reason on all of my nails perfectly (except my thumb again). Today my forgotten about package I got off AliExpress for $0.01 CND!!!! Yesss, one cent lol arrived today with another color along with a nail clip. I had ordered a kit off amazon in the meantime that included the tips, gel and slip solution because I was supposed to get the package tat the end of december when ordered Nov 8 also it didnt include the slip solution but Im so happy you mention about the 70% alcohol because ive already spilled most of my slip solution. So before I start my new nails I wanted to write a comment because Im literally just here doing my nails watching your tutorials just to watch while I do them. You are very accurate with all the information you give though, as Im not an esthetician either but getting mine done for so long and have knowing the steps my nail tech (also bestie) did my nails helped, plus tutorials and practice . I wrote this before I started because I really dont understand how so many women do things with nails that are longer than an almond style. I struggle at everything with long nails. Any tips on that? How to live with longer nails? lol ... LOVE watching ur videos as I do mine and props for getting so good by teaching yourself!

@Natalie Esseen How did it go?
@natalieesseen5 жыл бұрын
@@raneyclay5561 I ordered a kit by the brand TOMICCA. I first tried to make a set with the dual forms. I found it to be really difficult (the product was everywhere, spilled out the sides etc. and it was difficult to clean up properly...) and the undersides of the nail became thick.. So I removed the first set (and oh boy, I think i had my fingers in aceton for like 40 minutes and then I still had to file them for a really long time, since I dont have an e-file/drill). Then I had also ordered like.. regular nail paper forms, so I decided to give it a try. Although the apex and the structure of the nail might not be perfect, I found it to be a lot easier to build nails that way - and I have no previous experience with nails whatsoever. I have had on my nails for about 2 days now. Still going strong!! I work in housekeeping and none of them have broken off or any other issue. Polygel nails are really fun and rather easy, though I personally prefer to build the nails myself instead of using the dual forms, the material itself is quite easy to manipulate!

They came out very lovely~ It seems a bit easier than dipping powder. Have you tried the no wipe top coat? I use kiara sky no wipe gel top coat it stays shinier longer compare to gelish. Also skips a step compared to the other on clean up after curing.

True, but Suzie is Canadian and she says deck-el. I live in the U.S., it's DEEcal. It's one of those toe-mate-toe toe-mott-toe kinda deals. If you watch any Brit nail techs, they go with the deck-el, but then they pronounce many of the words we all use totally different. My fav: U.S says Alum-in-um, Brits say Al-lum-mini-um. You gotta love it : )

They're my go to and i very rarely hurt clients using them (they're the only ones i use 😂) And also they're esthetic. Hi, I love watching you do your nails. They always come out so pretty. 😍 How long does it actually take you to do a full set of polygel nails? A few months ago, I had a fungus infection on my nails that I got from a salon, so I've decided I'm doing my own from now on. I'm currently trying the fiberglass method that LizyG does on KZbin but it takes me 4 HOURS to do a set and that does not include nail polish 🙁

I am completely new to DIY my own nails. Although with Desperate Times comes Desperate Measures. Seeing a most states are considering nail salons as Non Essential businesses. I had never even attempted to try to do my own nails. I found your videos extremely helpful. It took me quite some time to actually complete my first nail. I definitely agree with you when you said that it takes some practice. My question is what should I use to clean up the stickiness from the poly gel that has seemed to get on just about everything? I am not sure how but the this a little bit of poly gel on the tube, the alcohol bottle anything that was on my desk when I was doing my nails. Also what should I used to clean the brush/spatula tool before I put it back in the metal case it came with. Thank you for a very helpful video.
