What a fabulously inspirational pep talk you gave at the beginning of this video. I agree totally with what you said, especially the part about friends and family often being the biggest nay sayers when anyone first gets started with a project. Anyway, I think the buffet cabinet backsplash and shelf are looking great. I think you did an excellent job with the wood and materials you already had available. Room looks amazing 👏👏👏just a thought but have you tried warming the contact paper up with a hairdryer then trying to peel it back and redo the piece with the crease ? It would save a lot of money rather than buying a new roll for such a small piece. May you have many happy hours in your new office 💐

It's nice that you take the time to explain things to the nay-sayers of the world, but they will be there regardless because they get enjoyment out of acting superior. The reality is the room is very efficient and you created it with a vision of what you wanted it to be. I'm glad you completed the photo corners so that things like scissors don't fall into the "hole". You can be so proud of yourself for what you've accomplished.

I completely get where you are coming from with the dark for your eyes, I have chronic headaches and use the warm light filters on all of my technology and have dark colours in my room because of it. Preach Sophia....girl that room is probably just as big as my kitchen...LOL...or close to it and I will cook a Thanksgiving dinner for the whole family (approx..20 to 25 people). My whole house is only about 1100 sq ft. so my kitchen, small dining room and small living room is probably 500 sq ft. That's right!! you do you....the room looks great !! Keep inspiring people.

Lots of use for the room as a bonus...present wrapping as someone mentioned, a load or two of laundry if the shelf is open, etc. Even just keeping it for business only you are getting ahead. On a side note, you could see if there are flexible tripods that could wrap around the metal shelf bars to keep them permanently ready to go...maybe get a couple of go pros to stay there all the time so your angles are already there. You've done good, Boss! 🎉 Enjoy your space and all it will bring you.

Your words about lack of support from friends and family is spot on. My hubs and I own a small beard oil, balm, butter business. Strangers have shown us more support and kindness than the majority of F& F. Sad. Excellent work on your business space Sophia!

I completely understand migraine & glare!!! The wood contact paper is an excellent choice! Barometer changes (like rain) often can give me a migraine, as well as glare.

Is very cozy and pretty, like a little shop in Europe, love it. Maybe you can add a bench, so you can work on the computer. Sophia, ask your functional doctor, my migraines got much better with magnesium and eliminating any type of sugar. The thing that triggers it the worst any food the contains maltitol, aspartame, glutamato (contained in many asian food). Now I read every label at the supermarket to avoid anything with sugar and gluten, everything has sugar. And another thing that helps me is the green juice (vegetables juices). Before I have at least a migraine daily, now only one a month.

I am not doing anything at the moment, Day 20 keeping my head faced down from detached retina and surgery. Currently can’t see out of my left eye. Your eyes are so important take care of them! love the room. i too suffer migraines and am very sensative ti light inside and out sun reflecting off wind shields ir car bumpers snow reflection off snow and phone lights can send me in one. it sucks.

Did you try poking holes in the bubbles in the contact paper with a needle? Sometimes you can get the wrinkle out if you pop it and squish the air out. Sometimes it gets too stretched out, but it’s an option if you choose to try it. I personally like wood 🤷🏻‍♀️ The more wood the merrier! I think it looks fabulous! Great job yet again Sophia! ❤

Looks good! Like the wood look on top! I did not know you suffered from migraines too ( or did I?) I wonder if it’s a thyroid thing? They have been better since eating healthier. Gluten seems to trigger my migraines but also going to chiropractor is helping too. When I have a migraine I eat something salty and that helps too. I read somewhere that there is a connection between low salt and migraines. Lately I’ve been taking a sap if Himalayan salt in my tongue befits I go to bed. Seems to be helping. 💜🌴👍

I know what you mean about migraines! They're hereditary in my family, unfortunately. For me, it's when I have different sources of light competing in my vision. When that happens, my vision gets blurry and I can't even read something right in front of my eyes because it's like the contrast and brightness are as high as they'll go. It usually lasts about 5-15 minutes and I have to lay down for awhile with my eyes closed.

I just started to get a migraine and I took a maxalt melt as soon as I started getting lightening flashes it will not go into a full blown migraine. I am really tired when the medicine stops it though.

@@mygreatchallenge You're welcome. I've had migraines since I was a kid. Stopped having them for a few years in 70s - starting to get them again. The Maxalt is the only thing that ever helped me. Hope it helps you too.

I have migranes too. I take topimarate for it. And it is so right with the dark backround. Every time i look i something really light i think. "Shoot. Tomorrow i have a migrane. "And i am angry about myselve. I get plasma glasses from the eye doctor . I have so much hope.
