Firstly thanks! Now coming to your car, you can either go for the 2017 onwards ALTO 800's Headlamp and bumper assembly which will be a direct for to your car and have a provision of foglamp. Alternatively you can upgrade your Headlamp with a good quality HID projector system for which I hv already uploaded a detailed video on the channel.

Hi, I love the videos that you make. I have an Alto too and plan to drive around in September. A couple of observations: 1. I wanted to buy a dash cam and came across the link in the description section of this video. I bought procus Iris last week, I started to face issues with it. It automatically turns off. Not sure if you are facing same issue or if you are using a different dash cam now. 2. I wanted to add fog lights to my car. I am looking to buy the fog lamps you mentioned. I went to the car decors shop today to help get it fixed. I was told my car has a rectangular provision and the round ones don't fit. It got me wondering, how do you have a rounded provision for fog lamps on your Alto 800? Can you suggest a rectangular fog lamp if you have come across any? Also, I see that you don't use any arm rest on your car. You recently did a pretty long drive. I want to check with you if you felt you required an arm rest. If you did some research on this, can you help us what's the best arm rest options available?

Firstly, thank you! Glad to know you liked my content. I am still using Procus Iris and it works flawlessly till date. I have been hearing some issues with the dashcam from some other users too. Just give it a try with a high speed memory card not more than 16GB as that's the max this camera can take. If nothing of that works, go for 70Mai or better brands. I think your Alto is the gen 3 one which has a rectangular DRL and no foglamp provision. You should check with a retrofitter if something can be done to retrofit a round foglamp in there but will certainly need some amounts of modifications. If you want to avoid it, go with a good quality projector unit for the headlamp. I have a habit of driving with my left hand and rest my right hand on the door arm rest, so never felt any issues.

Hi, found this video informative and helpful. I am having visibility issue with my stock headlights of Alto 800, thinking of upgrading it to Philips Racing vision H4/ Osram Night Breaker H4. Can you please suggest which one will be better? And also just by updating headlamps will I feel a significant increase in the performance while driving on single lane highways at night, where almost all cars come from opposite side with high beam on.

A bulb upgrade will add 5% to the existing output. Add a relay hareness to get another 5-8% increase. Then add these foglamps and you will have a good 20-25% additional output. Only a bulb swap will not be worth the money.

Thanks for the information, if I install projector foglamps is Hella the best option for the price? It's costing 1300×2=2600. And should I use the stock bulb which Hella provides along with the projector setup or should I buy Philips Racing vision separately?

@@priyojitmitra1973 Hella is the best at that price point. Everything else will be more expensive. So if the budget is limited, go for Hella Foglamps only. Use the stock bulbs that come along with the projector. They are good.

Thanks for the suggestion, one last question is that I found 2 such Hella products on Amazon, one is high beam the one you mentioned, another is low beam, if I want my fog lamp to be controlled by an independent switch irrespective of high/low beam in headlamp, which one should I buy, and is there any difference between the through of both?

Go for the highbeam one only. Better output and easier to fit also.

@@kapilpiyu5422 haan .. high low headlamp ko kar rha hu. Connection aise Kiya hai ki high karta hu toh fog lamps bhi ON ho jaate hai and low karta hu to fog lamps OFF ho jaate hai.

Hey I was curious if u use a ballast in your fog lamps hid bulb, if no how did u set it up I was thinking of only installing the hid bulb without the projector in head lamp, there the kit comes with a ballast, how do we do without it

It's a halogen projector. No ballast, not HID. My foglamps are high beam modules so I use them to even flash (pass light). Halogen is the best for such issues. Also it's yellowish light which is great for bad weather. There are other kits which are HID projector kits too. Ballast should be placed as high as possible to avoid damages from water logged areas.

@@abhinavpatil2416 halogen bulbs operate on high voltage AC current where our vehicles produce 12V DC. Ballast is mandatory. Using HID bulb without projector might spoil the reflector over time and also not produce quality light output.

It is possible to actuate the relay with two switch. The need of diodes make it possible where the switches do not interfere each other.

@@MototechWanderer hi instead of connecting the 85 of relay to highbeam ,would it be safe to connect it to the OE fog light line ( at front)and thereby operate it with the OE switch, I hope it doesn't have any effect in voltage drop as 85 of relay just need current to energize it to open the circuit. @@jestinjack yes you are right. In your situation, just replace the source of my circuit diagram with your foglamp connection. Also you will not need any diode as its a simple positive line that will actuate the relay.

in alto 800 , you should used 90 mm fog lamp because fog lamp hole is 90 mm we can see lot of gap between fog lamp and bumper
