O yes ! Fantastic build. I used to be a chemical engineer and I recently was run over on my 1957 Harley Panhead and nearly lost me right leg. During the time I learned how to walk and realize I was going to be in pain the rest of my life I knew it was time to change my life. I want to do something I love. I too am a small engine mechanic. I am also building a machine shop that runs on steam and even the power from a steam generator. I am in Northeastern Pa and my motto will be yesterday's equipment with modern results. Love your videos!!! thank you.

@@upstatebowhunter1617 Thanks brother!! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!! This is such a clean build. I am building a 3/4 scale jeep from most of the frame and parts from a GT18 garden tractor. I want to build something exactly like you built here along with a huuuuggggeee snow blower and or plow. I would love to make a system of implements to make it useful on the farm. God Bless my friend. Where are you? I am in Pennsylvania.

@@Biokemist-o3k that sounds like a great build! Look forward to seeing it. I'm located near Oneida lake region. I'm thinking of doing some more builds this summer as well.

@@upstatebowhunter1617 Sweet. We should get together when it gets warmer and see what kind of cool ride on things we can build;d. I always wanted a fat cat. I would feel bad cutting up a Honda 90 or 110cc but if I. can find the front forks , then I can fabricate the rest of the frame. I want to have big floaty tires like the original three wheelers. I have a Kawasaki 90 cc 4 stroke that I can use. I will have to see what I can locate for cheap.

Very very nice. BTW. I order wheels off drpower for thr pull behind 60 inch mower they have and those wheels hold up very well. My land is pretty rough though.

GREAT job, can you post the wiring diagram that shows what is connected to what? Or another video that has you walking through each hook up?? It would help me in my next project, does that engine have the fuel solenoid on the bottom of the carb?? Real neat build you have, Like the kill switch on the tow bar, HOW is that hooked up, yea many questions

Great build! How big is the deck? Did you consider spring mounting the cutting deck? Now that you’ve used it for a while is there anything you would have done differently?
@upstatebowhunter1617
@upstatebowhunter1617 2 жыл бұрын
Its a 48" deck thought of going bigger, but actually works out well. I'm thinking of making the height adjustable and possibly spring loaded. I just used it yesterday for the fist time. I'll be posting a video here shortly on how it worked and what id do a little different. Thanks for the comment, Bruce

Pull behind mowers means you will have to twist your neck to watch where you are mowing, meanwhile, your eyes are not on your driving and you may end up in the ditch. Front mounted mowers are best, even better than belly mounted mowers. It is easy to convert a pull to a front mower. There is even a quick release coupling made specifically for ATVs to make front mower even better. !

I know what you're saying, but speed does play a role. Shouldn't be going fast when cutting. I've since upgraded. My wheeler is listed and I picked up a sxs. I'm always looking to improve on how I get my land work done.

How did you do the wiring.
@upstatebowhunter1617
@upstatebowhunter1617 2 жыл бұрын
Basically I eliminated and bypassed all of the safety wiring so it would run. I and a separate line to a toggle switch to kill the engine.

Or just weld a friggin receiver tube to the deck on a clevis lol little overkill nice and clean but way overbuilt

Not bad, BUT, I designed one a 60" that has NO belts, cables, idlers, pulleys, wiring that wears out or has to be adjusted or replaced.

Is it a pull behind, that runs off the tire rotation?
@REVNUMANEWBERN

@@upstatebowhunter1617 It IS a pull behind, with 3 Harbor Freight 173CC 5.5 GAS VRTL ENGINE SKU 69731, functions just like any 60" except with LESS moving parts, AND, if you have one engine issue you can still cut grass, the tanks will run for 45 minutes each fill

@@upstatebowhunter1617 I built 2, nearly identical, have run both for 2 Florida cutting seasons, the engines have worked flawlessly, 3 pumps of primer bulbs, and ONE pull and each starts up, really cool NOT having any belts, idler arms etc to adjust or engage etc. They are virtually maintenance free
