DIY: Queen Nefertiti Crown & Necklace

This is a great DIY for cosplay or Halloween. Have fun with it!

Have you got no eyes? Glue gun, your choice of accessories, acrylic paint, cardboard and one key ingredient... Imagination!

Foam Sheets. Yarn. Acrylic paint. Hot glue. Velcro for the attachment in the back.

@@diywithnatalia2863 You sure that's foam board? I've used foam board in the past and its not flexible to fold, it looks more like long black construction paper or black paper roll.

If you use canvas sheet you'll have to apply a paper backing to make sure it's stiff enough to hold the accessories. Or Even give it a coat of mod podge and let it dry before applying the jewelry.

I used poster board. It's flexible and doesn't get soft when you paint it.

Thank you. I used Foam Core board for both head piece and neck piece. I painted it with water base acrylic paint. And Embellished it with jewelry and beads I purchased from Michael's craft store.

What did you use for the necklace?

The base is made out of foam mat. Then I used scrap jewelry and plastic gold stones which I got from Michael's (craft store). I also added some accent design by using hot glue and letting it dry before painting it.

Amazing job , what color paints and brand did you buy?

Hi Griselda, the brand paint I used is 'Apple Barrel' acrylic paint from any craft store. I used two shades of blue, one shade of red, green and gold. As for the exact name of the color paint I used, unfortunately i don't have that info., it's been a while. But have fun with choosing shades of color that will give you this look. Enjoy.
