This is a topic that people icing in flood prone areas need to know. Because first thing you need to remove to start to dry out your home is to remove the base boards. Thanks for doing this video.

Years ago.. about 40 yrs., I used a bent, wide paint scraper or mud spatula to do the same thing. Quick & easy, but.. it permanently alters the scraper, lol.

Multi tool. Oscillating tool. Whatever you want to call it. And a stud finder (that will show you where the nails are if it was installed right, as well as where to pry). You're not wrong. Just offering another alternative.
