Man I’ve watched all kinda videos on leaf springs for golf carts and your the first to say anything about taking the shocks off or loosened! I’ve been pulling my hair out trying to figure out why my springs won’t go back into place! lol thank you!

Great video. I'm doing this on my 2009 precedent and the bushings were shot on the rear corner spring hangers/attachment points. The bolts that hold them are covered by the black plastic bumper/bag well. I tried taking out some torx screws and regular bolts to raise it but that didn't work. I ended up using a forstner bit to make a hole in the plastic access the bolt head. I haven't seen anyone address this. I think since folks are mostly going to heavy springs for the support of a rear seat, all the bushings may not be shot like mine were. Enjoy your videos, keep up the good work.

What seat covers do you have on the cart? They look like a pretty good fit.
I'm looking to replace bushings on 2014 CC Precedent (specifically the front of the rear spring on the driver side). Do I need to unweight the leaf springs to do this or can I jack it up right at the u-bolt and not worry about the tension? Thanks!

Just unbolt!!

@@kartkrazy Sorry, I'm a little slow on the uptake. Just unbolt at the front of the leaf spring, or unbolt the U-Bolt at the axle? Thanks!
@kartkrazy4 күн бұрын
@KH-rh7yq just unbolt the main leaf spring bolt and you can leave the U-bolt alone

@ Is the "main" bolt the one that attaches to the front end of the leaf spring - - I'm looking at the leaf spring as having a front and back with the u-bolt attached in the middle. If I understand correctly (remember, I'm a little slow 🙄) I simply undo the bolt at the "front" of the leaf spring where my bushings are bad, and I'm done even without unweighting the leaf spring? Thanks!

@KH-rh7yq yes… just make sure you support the frame with jack stands

I have 205/50r10 tires on 10 in rims on my 2 seater. Also have heavy duty suspension. I have lowered my tire pressure but cart still rides too rough. I was thinking I need to do the opposite and go to single leaf springs. Will this make a difference? I also wondered about switching to a 205/55r18 which adds .81 in to the tire height. Would a single leaf spring support that tire without needing a lift kit? Wife and together weigh about 300 lbs. We only drive cart on the golf course and street.

I meant to say 205/55r10 not r18

Yes, the big leaf packs definitely make for a rough ride. You could try going up a size on the tire, but you may have rubbing issues depending on how much weight is in the back

Great video! Question is i am seeing springs installed on top of and below of axle. Are both correct?
@kartkrazy Жыл бұрын
Under is the stock location…over the top is with a lift kit. Thanks for watching!!

I’d like to upgrade my single leafs in the rear to something more heavy duty. My only concern is the 6” Rhox BMF lift looking way too high in the rear. 🤔
@kartkrazy11 ай бұрын
I understand that completely!! You may want to order a set of blocks for a 4inch lift. I have done that with great results 👍🏻

@@kartkrazyI just bought a set of dual action heavy duty springs from golfcartkings. They are supposed to be the best of both worlds while not adding too much height. Best part is that golfcartkings had them listed on eBay for less than half what they sell them for on their own website. Score!
