Great tips, thank you for sharing. I was brainstorming how I'm going to lift off the RTT and labeling the locations where the clamps are and the spacers for sides great ideas I'll be using.

I love it. I did something similar, but I might like your idea even better what I’d like to do is make the crane articulate so that it can be folded down and take even less space. And as far as the attachment to the house, if it was painted the same color as the brick, it wouldn’t even be noticed.

Nice work Michael! I'm trying to make a hoist system to get my RTT up/down. I'm interested in the carabiner and strap set up you used to connect your RTT to the hoist. What did you use? Can you share a link? Thanks!

That is a cheap steel carabiner that came with the block and tackle. Strong but heavy. I've made some more modifications since and now use old climbing carabiners too.

Great video Michael. Do you think is recommended to drill holes in the RTT rail?
@MichaelIngmanson Жыл бұрын
Adding the 1/4" holes into the rail has a negligible impact on strength and function. I had no concerns adding the mounting holes to my setup.

Pushing it to the max. Only bottomed out a few times but some more ground clearance would be nice :)
