I love that you do these videos , showing us how to do our nails at an affordable price. Not everyone has the money to go to a professional and pay 60 to 100$ sometimes even more . Ever since my dad passed in a work related accident and my husband and i moved my mom in to help care for her our finances have been tight . But i still like to look and feel my best and with videos like this , I can and watching you do it shows it can go from a 10$ drug store nail kit to looking like a 80$ set . So miigwetch (Thank you) 🥰❤❤💅

I have watched her for many years and something that I love and make her special, it's that she is always positive about the products, not matter how much it costs. She's not like "what I can expect from 10$ products", she just tried the products, says if pros or cons but never if you shouldn't buy it. That's you decision. I love the video. ❤

This is at least the second time I have watched you use this kit. I never get bored with it. You have a calming confidence after years of DIY. I definitely am not down with dip. Especially when people pay for dip at a salon. I do feel that it can give you a pro at home look. I would never pay to have a dip mani at a salon. I prefer gels mostly. But you seriously make everything look classy and chic.

As someone who suffers from “dip flu” I can’t use the liquids that come with a lot like this - I use gel base coat. Although I don’t do dip powder nails often as I’m messy 😂 I love the way you say “the nails are filed, shaped and buffed”. Keep up the good work love from the U.K.
@satansfinests2 жыл бұрын
If you see this lol can you share how you do that? Do you dip and cure it, and then brush off the excess?
@theunusualpixie2 жыл бұрын
@@satansfinests Hi, what I do is paint on the base gel, sprinkle over the dip powder ( I don’t dip as it wrinkles up the gel base or makes it bunch up), cure, then brush off excess. Repeat until coverage is how I want it. File and buff. Then gel topcoat. Hope that helps 😊

Nail Tech here - I always dislike doing dips, the smell is what gets to me....give me some monomer any day LOL. You did a wonderful job as always and the tip you showed to fill in the gap? excellent! When doing dip nails, I create an apex appropriate to the nail length the same way. I too have the same issue you do, my nails though not flat completely, are flatter than many other peoples. Great for showing off nail art, not so great if using tips. Evie, just wanted to say too just how much I enjoy your videos, your charm, say it like it is attitude is fantastic. From watching different tutorials, it seems like dip may be the best beginner friendly way to get into sturdy nail extensions (acrylic, polygel, dip). Although, you can't do encapsulations or super fun shapes with it!
