Keep in mind that these butters are still organic. Refined does not always equate to chemicals or heat. Organic clays may also be used to mildly refine the butter. This shea butter is almost odorless and a pleasure to work with. Your final product will shine. The deodorized cocoa butter will allow you to have all of the benefits of cocoa butter without the strong chocolate aroma. It has not been bleached or refined. Enjoy 😊💜

But please if I can't get Manuka honey, kukui oil, honeyquat and buruti fruit oil, what are the best alternatives? Can I use the regular honey 🍯 we all know? What other alternatives are there to the other ones I mentioned?
@YayaDIYCreations4 жыл бұрын
Thank you so much for your kind words. You can use regular honey, but make sure it is beneficial. There is fake honey out there that is basically sugar/syrup. For the others, you can use any oil that works best for you. If you want a less "greasy" oil like the Kukui oil, you can use Grapeseed oil, almond oil, and others. For the color from Buriti fruit oil, you may be able to get something similar but not exact. Try turmeric essential oil, carrot oil, or sea buckthorn oil. Finally, you can use any deep penetrating conditioning agent or "quat" to substitute the honeyquat. There are numerous, so look up the one that works best for you. I truly hope this helps 💜

Hello Yaya, Your video presentations are simply wonderful!! You are so talented and smart in your craft. Do you have a background in chemistry? I Iove your work, If you don't mind me asking. I have a 2 part question. Do you know what actual ingredients are used to make the hair soft?? I've found that Carols Daughters Mimosa Hair Honey Pomade is the only product that really softens an actual keeps my hair soft. Since I consider you well versed an knowledgeable from watching your videos. Also, have you ever consider a diy scalp creme for women that suffer from Folliclettius of the scalp? I've experienced little scalp pimples. Ive always kept my scalp an combs clean. What I've noticed is that using certain heavy oils (castor) seen to make it worse. I'd truly appreciate your opinion on my questions. Stay blessed🌻 💛🌻
@YayaDIYCreations4 жыл бұрын
Thank you so much. I am happy you are enjoying the videos. I went to university for nutrition/health science. There was some chemistry in there lol. However, when it comes to cosmetics, I am self taught and still learning 😊💜 To answer the first part of your 2 part question. This can be a very complex question/answer. For one, everyone hair is different; from environment to nutrition to healthy hair care practices to genetics to damage, etc. What works for one, may not work for the other. With that in mind, soft hair can be achieved by properly cleansing, hydrating, and sealing in moisture. There are numerous ingredients that work together to do this. I will only name a few. Water: hydrate and softens Apple cider vinegar: cleanses and removes dirt, restores ph Honey: humectant to draw in moisture to hair Oil/butters: emollients to seal in moisture and provide a film/protective barrier to keep moisture in and dirt and humidity out. Conditioning agents like honeyquat with some enough molecules to penetrate and bond with the hair strands, making the strand soft and pulp. All of these play some role or another. These can work for your or against you depending on hair type and how you use them. To answer the 2nd part, I am actually working on some products for scalp irritations and aliments like scalp psoriasis. I also find that heavy oils cause irritation. I am currently working on oil-free DIY formulations to help with this. Stay tune for more information. I truly hope this helps. 💜

Oh hello just subscribed to your channel and looking for something different for hair and skin , with less hard chemicals. I don't wear makeup and never have , maybe lipstick or lip gloss. Always rubbing my face and eyes. But I am comfortable with out makeup . Maybe you can help..

Thickeners can better be incorporated in water when they are first dispersed in Glycerin.

This is very true, but some ingredients/thickeners are designed to be dispersed easier without the use of glycerin. I mostly create a slurry when I am working with Xanthan gum. I hope this helps. 💜
