Probably. I’ve been down the concrete/ mortar rabbit hole for a month to learn. Most call for a 2:1 ratio of sand and Portland. However I remember an actual Mason by trade saying this is closer to 3:1.

Those gaps would've surely closed up in warmer weather, when they contract isn't that going to push up the new material added?
