(Is the screen somehow connected to the board and I am missing it?) Also, how about the led version for the F1 rim? :D Also 2: How would you wire the leds as well? - another dedicated board? Or change the board completely?
@hteksimulatorengineering2 жыл бұрын
Hello Vlad, As I can see, this is the most problematic point for the users. I will make a tutorial about this in the upcoming projects. Basically you will need two usb cables, that are connected to the 7 or 8 pin DIN connector. For the LED's the most easiest way is to connect them to an Arduino nano.

I wouldn't rely on dupont jumper style connections on something like this. They're horrible at staying in place and even if they do, the constant movement will loosen the connection. I'm sure it'll be fine for a little while but it won't take long to before you get intermittent connection issues. Get yourself some silicone wire, remove the header pins on the board and solder directly.. At the very least, use some hot glue to prevent movement of the connectors.
@hteksimulatorengineering Жыл бұрын
You are definetly correct, it needs some hot glue, otherwise you will have connection problems in the future, because of the vibrations.

@@hteksimulatorengineering You can get black hot melt sticks to make it look like "backyard job".. my favourite thing about hot melt is that you can give me a quick spray of IPA and the bond releases immediately.. As soon as the IPA has evaportated, the bond strength returns.

Was with you 1000% till i saw the hydro-dipped carbon fiber 🤢 why go to all the trouble making such a nice wheel to then do that? Honestly, skinning with prepreg carbon fiber isn't that difficult or that much extra labor... Or at least buy a premade sheet and cut as needed! Otherwise really nice build!
@hteksimulatorengineering2 жыл бұрын
It is 100% your choice how you want to cover or not to cover the wheel. For this build, I've used hydro-dipping to see how it looks after a few months of usage. I was also kept the prepreg carbon fiber on the possibilites, but it would corrupt all the size tolerances of the build unfortunately.. :( For experimenting, in the future I will make an easier design 100% out of carbon fiber. :)
