DIY Simple Notebook decor | Cardboard idea | Paper craft

In this video I will show you how to make a beautiful notebook decor with my own hands. In this diy I will craft and decorate with using paper, cardboard and glue gun.

On the cover of the notebook measured the doorway.
Around him glued cardboard.
The top layer was made of cardboard strips.
The door stuck to the hinges.
And sealed the entire surface with paper napkins on both sides.
After drying put putty.
While the putty was not dry, she ran the stick along the surface to create an imitation of wood.
Let the putty dry.
Painted with acrylic paints.
The door lock was made of polymer clay.
Details baked in the oven for 20 minutes at a temperature of 100 degrees.
Additionally, the surface was decorated with leaves.
Sculpted decor from self-hardening clay.
The entire surface is covered with acrylic varnish.

I have a serious question and I hope people won't snap my neck for it, but: is it still fun or possible even to use some of these notebooks _despite_ the thick cover? Because I often carry some around with me and while I want to mess with their overall design, I'd hate it to have a 1(++) cm thick cover. Could you show some "flat" designs that will still allow a person to use their notebook freely? Because aside from the sheer mass of stuff on the notebook, I really like your designs and creativity.

With prolonged use, chips may appear on the corners of the cover. You can add some white glue to the texture paste or putty. And the top layer can be covered with acrylic varnish
