Do it! It's so rewarding. I cannot tell you how much I have saved over the years. Plus you get piece of mind because you can repair stuff you buy instead of throwing away, you know you didn't spend $60 on basic stuff you could have made for $15, and it's a skill no one can take from you.

Sewing isn't very hard, but it doesn't save too much money. Tailor yourself u can save some money, but making things from scratch can be pretty pricy if you wanna use quality materials.

If you live in a cold cold climate, i reccomend using a sleeping bag lined with flannel instead of just a regular ole padding. Its a little more expensive but so very worth it if you dont wanna freeze to death

VERY cool. If you would have used the bottom of the zip your jacket would zip up cuz you can shorten it at the top. You'd have had to do something else for the bottom of the sleeves though. Still cool. Thanks for the tutorial!
