As I always say, makeover do not have to be so expensive, invasive or drastic. While I do want to reno and demo to make all Holly's kitchen dreams come true; she wants to do some big changes that are going to require a lot more time and a larger budget. Since I am unable to do that, I wanted to see what I could do for less than $200. Remember that it isn't my way or the highway and to tailor your space to your needs and lifestyle as I did here for Holly and her home.

It's crazy how much easier makeovers are when you tackle them in phases - this is the third and final part of Holly's kitchen makeover series. I love how each episode varies in difficulty which I feel like makes this obtainable for anyone. I can't believe we are done with all the rooms in the house? What in the world? How did that happen? I go into even more depth about this kitchen makeover for Holly over on www.baib.space/blog/kitchen-breakdown ...loving you guys always xx.

I love your very real videos. I have been working on my kitchen by myself with no professional help and a nonexistent budget, as in I've got almost everything for cheap or free. Painting cabinets and refacing the old cheap cabinet door fronts by adding beadboard. I wanted to try and turn them to shaker but that was no go. Either I've put off painting my cabinets FOREVER!! THANKS TO YOU I DID IT! I'm not finished but I'm working it in phases! So happy I finally said f it and went for it!!

I have been watching home improvement shows since I was a little kid and this is the first show I have watched that actually makes me feel encouraged to try things myself. The fact that you are so open about just trying things, making mistakes, going back, and fixing them makes doing my own projects seem WAY less intimidating. One of the things that I love from your channel is how realistic the whole process is, how things are done in phases. Don’t sweat over the small stuff girl. 😊. It looks awesome. And I have found on light fixtures, which are a HUGE expense, that often times just taking old ones down, can light covers included, taking a can of metallic spray paint to them gives them the freshest and most updated and cheapest make over ever. I even did a price compare on new stuff I tended to gravitate towards, which was interestingly very similar to what I had, to just $7 can of spray paint and it was no question what direction I needed to go. New isn’t always better.. Even my ‘boob’ lights look like a classic 40’s throw back with some rubbed bronze over the tacky old brass. Those shelves look so clean and great! Love it!

I had to windmill slam the like button on this comment because I totally agree. I know this isn’t HGTV and editing takes forever but I liked seeing your friends reaction after you made over her small apt bathroom, or your candid moments with your dad while renovating their place. It’s those interactions that make it feel more dynamic and relatable!! You’re a badass and I hope your friends appreciate that shit ❤️😋 seeing it just confirms what we watching your vids already know.

There are never "reactions" since she lives here. I also like to keep some of my life private! I have one video of how we do that in part one of the fireplace makeover. We really don't talk much about the process since I use her Pinterest board for reference. When I slow down the amount of videos I put out each month next year, I will for sure incorporate things like this.

Wow, that does look fantastic. You really took it from outdated to stylish and modern without breaking the bank. Although I'm not a fan of open shelving for practical reasons, myself. I did that, when I built my first kitchen and while it looked fantastic, the stuff up there gets dusty/greasy so quickly, it's just not worth it for me. It's a completely personal decision, obviously, but I would hate for other people to copy this style, without being aware of the drawbacks. It really sucked, to have to take it all down again, to install closed cabinets after all. It sucked even more, to go through all that trouble, just to move out shortly afterwards, but that's a whole different story. I'm sure, you can symphasize ;-))

I love texture spray! We moved into a house with wood paneling throughout half of it, and then a quarter of what was left was textured walls. We had quite a few holes to patch and spray over with texture spray.

Can't wait to see the privacy fence. I really don't mind when you "cut corners", it's the reality of a DIY but i do love that you encourage people not to cut corners as well as yourself. It's awesome making yourself proud of the final result. Thanks for the BAIB info plug. Lovely video as always 💚💗😊
