DIY | Snow Machine - How To Make Snow at Home (Combo Gun)
In this video i will show you how to make snow machine/snow at home. This snow machine is called Combo Gun. It is mixture of mist(compressed air and water) and pressure water (pressure pump, pressure washer).
The air pressure from the compressor pushes and cools the water droplets (mist) from down below which are then further frozen in the air and mixed with upper droplets which then forms snow. Outside air temp must be at least -2°C and under 70 percent humidity.
Without the bottom nozzle snowing is not possible!!!
The lower the air temp, the better the snow machine (combo gun) works.
The optimal air temperature for this gun is -6 °C and under 80% humidity.

How many PSI for top and bottom? I'm not sure what the bar conversion is and the top reads 100 bar and the bottom reads 8 bar. Is this correct?

Top is pressure waher around 100 bars yea. Bottom is air compressor and it has around 8 bars. But when you are making snow the pressure is around 4 bars through nozzle. depends on nozzle you have.

www.kleen-ritecorp.com/ 4002 MEG, and for the nuc 4005 or 3005 or 2005. First 2 numbers is the angle EX 4002 40 is the angle and 02 is the orfice size.

Most other combo snow guns i have seen have 3 nozzles, is there a reason you have used 2? does it work better?

I personally use 2 because even though my pressure washer runs at 4000psi the less nozzles you have the larger the area you can cover. Ass with more nozzles you lose pressure and distance and covrage of you snow maker. With wind mine can cover about a 40ft area with 5inches of snow in an hour. BUT don't forget that by adding more nozzles your range decreases therefore allowing more water flow and more snow in a smaller area rather than being spread out. More water flow can also make more snow. Hope this helps.

@@owenpurtell7961 I made mine in 3/8IN with 2 brass ball valves 2 T fittings a 90degree fitting and a 3/8 to quarter inch reducer and a 1/4 inch air compressor quick connect. To but the T and the 90 together i used 3/8. 2 sides male thread pipes about 3 inches long. I also bought 2 more 3/8 to quarter inch reducers to thread my generic pressure washer nozzles and ther quick connect. The top one is a flat v and the bottom is just a hole. I assembled mine like his but I connected my power washer on the 90 that I put on the top because my hose was 3/8.

@@timothyrichardson5895 It will be twenty degrees where we're at. I don't think I'll be able to make an air injection nozzle like you have. Would a regular pressure washer like the four you have spraying hot water make snow on a low twenties temperature work?

@@MrJstew0903 Doubtful, the nucleation nozzle (the one of the bottom) with the air and water combo together is what makes the snow. The atomized water particles combine with the bulk water nozzles at the top to form a larger crystal.

do you have to run a pressure washer and an air hose? What if you ran the water from a hose at the top and an air line from the bottom supplying the pressure?

Hmm but how do you keep it from not freezing? It’s galvanized metal and also how do u keep the hoses from not freezing?

Moving water has a lower freezing temperature. Also, water coming out of the ground is normally 53-55 degrees. That’s just the temperature of the earth below the frost line.
