As a seamstress, I highly recommend hemming the edges to reduce the chance of the sock fraying and leaving loose strings everywhere that your cat might swallow

I turned out to be a mess for me. It just kept unraveling and had strings everywhere. Kitty did not like it and kept trying to wash herself but ended up washing the sock. I used a similar sock that was used here but it only came down past her front legs about 2 inches. The fit did not cover her whole body. She was not happy and it lasted only a few hours and I took it off. I was worried that she may choke on the strings. I was hoping this would work s she is a Cornish Rex and with that kind of fur they have they get cold very easily. Not quite as bad as Sphinx though.
