Great update. System seems to be running great. Koi are happy, and healthy, so that's all that matters. 👍

Kenty!!! Another enjoyable video👍😀 regarding Canterbury Spar as a filter medium, this stuff was the “Rolls Royce” of filter media back in the early’80’s when I started keeping koi, but I’m not so sure it helps to keep the ph stable, if you do try it I think it would be more suitable to a trickle type filter rather than in a bag inside the moving bed filter. Regarding the flow rate on the pond, you could always drop down again and see if it has any detrimental effect to the nitrite?. But that would slow the flow through the bottom drain. I would be more inclined to leave well alone and and let it mature with these flow rates ready for the summer growing period. 👍😀

Kenty Aka Koi Kicks The spray bar definitely makes a much better difference & also just wondering instead of attaching or placing rock media within moving bed couldn’t you use gravity return from m/bed to diy trickle shower 🤷🏻

Hi Simon, Yes I've thought of a few options but it's just fitting it in. I thought about gravity trickle tower, plant filter etc or both, I'll see! Thanks 😊

If you put a sack of stone media in your moving bed I think you are risking that the media then not moving freely enough and not cleaning it self enough and could end up with a bacterial infection
