Seeing this again i think it's a very clever setup. What you could try, to get a maybe different sounding reverb, is to use another small speaker instead of a piezo disc and glue both speakers up the same with a paper clip. with the spring between the two speakers and the output coming off the other speaker the same as you did with the piezo disc. The two speaker setup may produce unwanted feed back though.
