I feel a new project coming on😄 I do quilts, scenery quilts, mostly. I like to make them look like stained glass too. I love to do curtains that look like stained glass and when the sun shines through it's so bright and colorful. I've tried real stained glass but I wasn't good at it. My soldering always clumped up. 🤷 You did great explaining how to do this. I subbed and liked! Thanks !

Just as an aside - it might have been the flux or the temperature of your heating element. Mind you, this is just from my research, I haven't attempted my stained glass project yet because I'm waiting for cooler weather so that I can work outside, but from what I've read, that is the main causes of clumping. 🤷🏻♀️

Wondering how sun-proof the cans are for outdoor use? Was thinking about doing a flag. I would nail or wire colored pieces to waterproof material. Super sunny here!
@UpcycleDesignLab3 ай бұрын
Thanks for your question. The cans do fade in the sun. I believe that you can find sealers that provide UV protection so I would definitely recommend using one if you plan to put your project outside.

Hi, I just discovered your YT channel and I love it! I watched the glue comparison video just now and would like to get the JB weld w/ the light- so exciting. Thanks so much for the info you share.

Just beautiful. Are these best for indoor or out, and if out, what would be the estimate on longevity?
@UpcycleDesignLab3 ай бұрын
Thanks. I would not recommend putting them outside unless you have a really good sealer that also protects from UV rays. The print on the cans fades pretty easily in the sun and the paint and tape would also need to be sealed to withstand the elements. 🙂
