We have done this same process a bunch of times on previous videos so we only do VO half time time. We go through the entire process in our merry maker christmas episode :)

This is incredible! You guys are amazing. I’m curious - around 1:15 you paint the board black and then proceed to peel the paint off. I get that doing this emphasizes the outlines, but could you share more about this? What kind of paint/medium do you use to do this? And how are you able to peel it off so easily without any residual residue (besides the intended outlines)? I’m fascinated!

Yea! so we laser engrave with masking tape on the boards ahead of time. I make sure this tape is REALLLLLLLY down by using a scraper to press it down. Then i use Vallejo Black Primer because its more liquidly than straight black acrylic. Then its just a process of removing the tape. Its really crisp lines because of the laser grooves and the tape being really stuck. Thats also why i cant use duct tape to remove the masking tape...its realllllly on there. Its great for paint but it means i have to sit and peel it all off by hand lol I hope that helps!

I would love to know how you made the resin mix as I wish to make this as well for a school project.

It's just a one-to-one ratio epoxy resin. You can get it at most craft stores. Mix it with a little bit of pigment powder and that's how you get the water

Another question, if you did the tracing on your own, how long did the tracing take to be ready for this project give or take

@@treyganthompson3283 I do about two weeks of file creation before starting all projects. Thats about a week of drawing and a week of computer files generations
