That’s ingenious! If I were to do this I might with label the cubes or place the opening facing to make it easier to see what’s inside. I might add one more piece of plywood underneath, as well, to minimize dust or moths. You’ve basically given me a great reason to hold on to my old Ikea Expedit shelf.🤗

How thick is the piece of wood you used?
@gisellemays37753 жыл бұрын
Great question. I was going to do this, but I do not know enough details about the plywood.
@ALANAYASOCHIC3 жыл бұрын
Hello ladies! The thickness is 1/2 inch and here is the link to the wood I purchased: www.homedepot.com/p/Sanded-Plywood-Common-1-2-in-x-2-ft-x-4-ft-Actual-0-451-in-x-23-75-in-x-47-75-in-300896/202093833

Hi! I am planning to male similar bench for dining (betsa or platsa modules). I was just wondering if it really can hold together after sitting there because ikea says it is only for 20-50kg load? 🤔 or it can be saved by adding top desk?

Are you sure this has enough cushioning? My behind hurts easily from years working in front a computer.

Amazing idea! Never seen it done with a two by two kallax. A bread knife is great when cutting foam.

Very cute and functional! I’m going to see if I can find a cube storage unit just a tad longer so I can use it as a day bed like you said!!
