The fact that you can open this frame so easily to add new posters is ... BRILLIANT!!! I also learned something new in this video, the v nails! The trick with the supergleu is very smart! Greetings

You could have also went to an auto glass supplier in your area and used what is known as Selvage Glass. It's cheap too. I use it to put on the tops of my end tables and nightstands in my home (makes a great way to put treasured photos under glass on your end tables/nightstands if you like.

Nice idea! Btw 3x3 Custom said for butt joints or mitered (any end grain glue ups) put a 1st layer of glue on all end grain, allow the first application to dry (probably want a smooth even layer) then add your 2nd application of glue and finish the screwing, nailing, what ever because she said allowing a layer of glue to dry on the grain allows better adhesion plus the raw wood can’t soak up all of it which more than likely could result in a weak joint. Even and Katlyn I see already commented but I thought I’d add their ingenious solution for the very same application your using (mitered picture frame joints) by drilling an even hole (not all the way through, maybe 3/4”) directly in the center of each joint where your miters meet up, then using wood glue and a dowel that fits snug, place your dowel in, cut if flush and there you go 👍🏼 I love watching all you guys 🤟🏼

Thank you sooooo much! This is amazing. My boyfriend and I love video games, so we own a lot of video game posters. We have both dreamed of having a video game room since we were both young, so we decided when we get a house we will definitely have one. I kept thinking of the best way to switch out our posters easily because There is no way I could fit all of our posters on the wall, nor would I want to. My idea was to keep buying those plastic poster frames like you showed in your video and just have one for each poster and take them off the wall and put the new frame up anytime I wanted to switch out. Honestly it sounded very expensive for frames that do not even look that great. They aren't bad, But they aren't the easiest to put posters in either. This is such a great diy and my boyfriend and I will definitely be making this for our video game room some day. Thank you so much!!

There is a small block that holds a razor blade at a 45% angle that's used for cutting mat boards. I have one and a neat jig for cutting straight lines. Got it from my Aunt that is (was) an artist and cut all her own mat boards. Great project. I have several poster frames and keep all my extra posters behind the one that I'm currently viewing. When I get tired of it, I just swap them out. It keeps all my posters flat, so I don't have to roll them, which is actually not a good way to store them.
