DIY Tall Wood Planter by Ana White

Hey Everyone! Welcome back to the channel!
This was a fun and easy project! I've been wanting some nice planters for my front yard, so when Ana White uploaded her latest project, I was super excited to recreate her work! Ana made it look so easy and provided easy to understand instructions. I gave it a whirl and NAILED it! This build should take you about 30 minutes, start to finish for 1 planter, but I took my time with this build, due to the heat in Charleston.
This is a great project for any beginner DIY'r out their and if you are interested in making a few of these, I would definitely give it a try! For project plans, I've linked to Ana White's website below. If you have any question, I will be more than happy to answer them!

Thanks. When I saw your video, my first thought was that you saw mine and copied the idea (Imitation is the most sincere form of compliment), but it seems we came up with the same idea (serendipity). I've been thinking of doing something more like yours for our deck, the small ones on the patio are just about the right size, but I want something more robust and stylish for my deck. Did you spray the inside or outside with anything so it doesn't rot out in the elements? Also when you put the planks on the inside so you don't have to fill the whole thing with dirt, did you put landcaping fabric in so the dirt doesn't slide through the gaps on the outside shelf

I did! I used an outdoor deck sealer on the inside and out. Also garden fabric as well. So far they are holding up nicely 👍

So far so good. They still look new. I don't remember filming the part where I put a varathane on it to give it more protection from the elements 🙂

Yes, I just made 2 and they were 4 pickets. 6ft boards with what my local Lowes had on hand.
