Love this! Did you add underwire? If I was to follow the video and add one in, should I add it after adding the cups and sewing them to the lining and fabric? (So the underwire channel on the inside, is visible).

Hello. Thanks for the feedback. I'm afraid I didn't quite understand your question. Yes, I added bones. The bones are added after sewing the cups so as not to interfere. And they are threaded into pre-prepared bone channels. I didn't sew them to the fabric.

@@narasstudiodiy Hi (it's me from different account) I meant to say, did you add underwire or boning directly under the cup to support the cup? (in a 'U' shape around the cup circumference)
@narasstudiodiy5 ай бұрын
@user-xy7ed6jy2r Hi) I didn't add underwire, because these cups already had underwire. In another my video with similar dress I added, I think it's necessary. Without underwire cups will not hold the shape.

phenomenal construction!! wow. Your fabric seems to have a slight stretch, would this tutorial (and specifically the shaping of the lining around the cup) work fine for non stretch fabric?

Thank you very much ❤️. My lining fabric was non-stretchy, so yes, this tutorial would work for non-stretchy fabric. The main thing is to tailor it correctly.

great!! When you were spinning it was hard to see how the back looked, is there anyway i could see photos of how it turned out!@@narasstudiodiy

Unfortunately I don't have a photo of the back. This is my omission, thanks for pointing it out. In the next videos I will have to not miss this moment.

No worries thank you! Do you have any tips on altering the pattern from your construction of laced corset grommets with a zip OVER the top, to my preferred look: Laced corset grommets with zip underneath it for the skirt, AKA you can see the grommets at the back!@tudiodiy

As I understand it, you want the top to have grommets and the skirt to have a zipper, then I wouldn’t sew the skirt and the top from the back. The front is sewn, but not the back, then you can safely tighten the corset.
