I'm old enough to remember when we used tire chains, they were for traction when driving on ice. But those tires look good on it.

I never had a chance to test on ice, but I'm sure the chains would do great! Lots of fun to watch driving around in the snow though! Thanks for watching!

I use the injora kraken claws and I have no problem with snow until my truck gets high centered.

Awesome video I like your intros and your editing is right on! Awesome shots , wicked crawling with the Chevy ! The tires chains look great and the location is very nice! I’ve experimented studding some 1/18 tires and it’s really hard to get them where you want but I’m determined to keep trying 😅

Thank you for the kind words! I appreciate it! I am super happy with the chains, extends the RC'in season a bit more 😎. I was thinking about trying studs! You'll get them perfect, just takes time! Cheers for watching!

Man those chains work like a champ! Good job! That looks like northern Nevada terrain (or general high desert) I should’ve got into RC when I lived out there

@@NEO-RC Thanks! They did work well, couldn't believe it! Haha. I'd recommend them for sure if you have a couple spare hours to build them. Thanks for watching!

how you did?

Hello, I got metal chains from a craft store (came in a big roll), I measured the width of the tire, then cut 7 lengths of chain per tire. I opened up the end link on all the chains and hooked the link onto an elastic band. I repeated this till I had 7 chains per tire. Then just evenly spread the chains out around the tire and tied a little knot to hold them in place. I tried to explain it in this video: kzbin.infojX3tkyqkaJY?si=l6pnVHhG0I1G0vQJ Thanks for watching!!
