I'm sorry but this pattern is difficult to follow. I have been back and forth on your video trying to figure out how to turn the fabric at the marked corners without having the fabric bunch up. I finally got it to work but have no idea how I did it. what's with the 3.35 inch measurement?

The 3.35" is the measurement for the rectangular fabric, and translate into 8.5 cm. It is to make perfectly fit to the tissue box. It is odd measurement. You could change it into 3.5" but also need to adjust the measurement for the other smaller rectangle fabric piece. Have a wonderful day, and Happy Thanksgiving. 💖

this video is definitely nit sewing for dummies I am totally lost after the iron seam ..seems like some parts are skipped ie when and how were the two short pieces joined together ? I lost a whole day stitching and unstitching and am still at it but also searching for other videos that may be easier for me to follow

Regarding to sew the short piece together, you sew three sides of the short piece to one side of the long piece by aligning the seam allowance line. Where are the measurements for the fabric. Some indications to be given as to length and width of fabric
