I can get them to measure their underwire but how do you determine triangle cup size for others? And how do you determine where to place the triangle cups on the underwire? I am hoping to use this method to make myself a custom fitted bra. I don't have a bra that fits. I am a plus size with a G(?) cup. My under bust is flat like the top of an H not curved like a U.

Depends on the part of the wire that was made too small. If it’s the cups you can definitely build around them. If it’s the underwire it may be a bit tricky. I’ll see if I can make a video about this.

Thank you so much for the demonstration! Quick question however, how do you know exactly where to place the anchors? As in how far away from the top of the frame especially when there might be a bigger size cup?

My pleasure! So this can vary depending on bra style and size. In this video I would have put the anchor an inch away from the cup on both sides. Anything that’s a D cup or bigger I would add two anchors per side so that the person has more places to put straps(one anchor sitting an inch from the cup and the second would be at the start of the cup.) More straps equals more support.

How do you decide what gauge of wire to use? Asking as an F cup.

Ok so F cups I would probably go down to 9 or 10 gauge. However it is really hard to bend if you have never tried it before. You can try doubling 12 gauge wire but depending on if the bust is heavy you will need to add in piece of 10 gauge wire. It’s not impossible but it requires practice and patience.

Is the loops at the top for the straps around your neck strong enough just being bent?

For my cup size they are. If you are not feeling confident in the strength of your wire you can make a complete loop.
