Terrific job - exactly what I was looking for and a great recycling of the lightning cable as well! Great craftsmanship with the heat-shrink and hot glue combo - never thought of that - also, your putty solder/piece holder is genius! LOVE IT!

Could you make a dongel that 3.5 mm to lightening so we can use lightening headphones to any phone?????

You can basically just buy it from a Apple store
@herresheroftuna8031
@herresheroftuna8031 3 жыл бұрын
@@Jamalaaa I just realized now that you’ve pointed that out, but that would be a waste of time and money as one would have to buy a Apple certified port and figure out how to ram it into a dongle, while the other way by buying lightning connectors and making it into a dongle makes the headphones be more compatible with other products while being able to use it on a iPhone cost effectively
@Jamalaaa
@Jamalaaa 3 жыл бұрын
@@herresheroftuna8031 Well he wants to make it he may have the sports and in there has probably has a female lightning port and an AuxConnector or probably he did not know how to do it but basically question he wants to make it so that lightning headphones can connect to any phoneAnd probably saving money because he has those from his other projects or something
@herresheroftuna8031
@herresheroftuna8031 3 жыл бұрын
@@Jamalaaayeah I understand, but the point of saving money is invalid since “made for iproducts” parts cost much because of apple standards and patents it will be much costly than said reverse Apple dongle

Probably not even worth mentioning,, but; why not tie one of the inner strings of your shoe lace to the end of the cord you want through and use it as a pull string. Have to be a lot faster than pinch/push method you used. Albeit, you would have to cut the outer nylon jacket a little shorter (probably an (1 1/2 to 2 “) than whatever material the inner string is made of; to tie onto headphones/lightening cable
@sgaudiohive
@sgaudiohive 3 жыл бұрын
Yes the proper way will be to to tie 1 one of the multiple strings inside the Paracord to the wire, but the wire has to be stripped and has to be knotted, it only works for very thin wires as the knot adds thickness which may impede the sleeving process
@scottmills4770
@scottmills4770 3 жыл бұрын
@@sgaudiohive strip and inch from each wire, make a small loop knot in one of the inner strings, with the stripped end pass through the loop knot the one inch or so where the insulation begins , fold over the stripped wire, using a small amount of good electrical tape attach wire to string and pull through. Easy
@sgaudiohive
@sgaudiohive 3 жыл бұрын
Oh ya sorry this was an old video I made I was thinking that it is about sleeving a 1mm wire with a 2mn Paracord.. Which is difficult. this is a 4mm Paracord, the wires are 1.5mm, the wire could be sleeved up with the method mentioned in the video using the same amount of time of just stripping and tying the wires together. It looks slow in the video because I was trying to explain it. The process should only take a few second

@@eduardovladimir3594 use hot glue either with a hot glue gun or if you’re impatient like me fire up the hot glue stick with a jet lighter or torch but any lighter will work. Once you twist your wires together out a dab of hot glue on them as covering all exposed copper wire this will not only hold the wires together firmly but will insulate the wires as well since hot glue is basically a nonconductive thermal glue

You need to either turn off the music or turn it way down we can’t hear you very well, second recommendation is to slow down when you’re talking, no offense or anything but with your broken English, talking fast and playing loud music it’s near impossible to really grasp what you’re saying to your viewer. Like I don’t even know if you even explained what wires to solder on what terminals of the audio jack. Again no offense on your accent, cause I sure as hell can’t speak or understand a second language, and good idea with the paracord sleeve and heat shrink as added protection and also using the grey putty as a way to hold down the tiny objects you’re soldering, really like that

Good job, but destroying a usable £29 EarPods seem not worth it (don’t think it’s free, you paid for all the accessories when you bought your phone), buying an anti-break MFi lightening to 3.5mm aux cable will cost around £12, and it saves your effort. Buying one is just more feasible for average people.
